Right doctrine is important. If a church is taught unbiblical doctrine, it will become sick. Rather than help broken people find wholeness in Christ, they will serve as a distraction from the glory of the gospel. The Church of Jesus Christ does not have an option. We must get the gospel message right. There is too much at stake.

Is Doctrine > Action?
Right doctrine is important. If a church is taught unbiblical doctrine, it will become sick. Rather than help broken people find wholeness in Christ, they will serve as a distraction from the glory of the gospel. The Church of Jesus Christ does not have an option. How I Made It
It's a common story. And a tragic one. You can read countless stories of young adults who have grown up surrounded by the Christian faith--ones who practically grew up inside a church--who go on to completely abandon their faith. Christian researchers, and most people in the community of Christian faith, have noticed the trend of young people leaving the Church and have speculated as to the reason why. Many are given. Some are right and some are probably wrong. Each story and person is different--it's hard to pinpoint the reason. Maybe it's not even possible. But I know why I stayed.

Avoid These Bible Teachers
Satan first appears in the Bible as a snake--so appropriate! He is cunning, slick, and seeks to slither his way into all things so he can bring about destruction. He raises up many attacks that come from outside the walls of a church, but his most dangerous work has always come from within.

What People Need to Grow
Christian churches should be like the nursery in a hospital's maternity ward--places where infants can grow and develop healthily. Newly converted "babes in Christ" need the right environment in order to mature. They need help, to be nurtured, and a church with an environment that enables them to grow.

The Way Forward
What is the way forward for charismatics? How do we separate ourselves from the nonsense that has come from our churches and movement? The work of the Holy Spirit is not something we can abandon simply because some have metaphorically "went off the deep end." Or is it?

Not Benefitting from Sermons?
Hearing the Word of God rightly preached has many benefits. And I'm not talking about sermons you hear on the radio, podcasts you are subscribed to, or messages you listen to online. Those can all be helpful and stir your affections for Christ, but they are not the primary "spiritual meal" that God uses to feed your soul. The preaching that comes from the pulpit of your church each Sunday is designed to be the source of sustenance that your soul desperately needs each week.
